Let’s keep up the fight for the 2.5 million people working in Canadian nonprofits.
Ontario’s nonprofit sector workforce is highly diverse: 77% of nonprofit workers identify as women, half are racialized, and nearly a third are immigrants.
It’s also highly undervalued: the average nonprofit worker earns just 67% of someone in the private sector, and access to paid sick days, health benefits, pensions, and even basic job security can be hard to come by.
