  • As part of our commitment to reconciliation and mending relations, 1% of revenue from all E&W projects is donated to The Circle on Philanthropy to advance Indigenous-led solutions for systems change and increased equity, justice and self determination.

    We seek to create an environment where our team members can thrive. We work a 4-day week (Monday to Thursday), offer extended health benefits on day one, provide paid personal days, and compensate candidates who participate in job interviews.

    Each year we allocate a portion of our billable hours in that year to providing pro bono support and coaching to emerging leaders and under-resourced groups the following year. Through our pro-bono work we have supported organizations such as Ubuntu CollectiveBlack Healing CentreBlack Women in MotionAfrika Outbound, and Black Men’s Therapy Fund to support their vital work.

    Recognizing the constraints of organizations with smaller revenues, we provide discounts of 15% to 20% on our services to these organizations.

  • Laëtitia Eyssartel, she/her

    Managing Director & Co-Founder

    Laëtitia is a co-founder of Evenings & Weekends Consulting, and comes from a mixed professional background in science, engineering and project management. ​

    She has over 10 years of experience working in the non-profit sector and has focused her career on leading projects and initiatives to increase organizational impacts and financial sustainability, while supporting individuals and teams navigating organizational change.

    From 2017 to 2023, Laëtitia was a Senior Director at FoodShare Toronto, Canada’s largest food justice organization. In her role, she provided strategic leadership and support in areas of food distribution social enterprises, risk management, human resources, organizational structure, health & safety, facility management and IT.

    When not at work, Laëtitia can be found outdoors with her son and partner or enjoying some delicious food with her family and friends.

  • Rudayna Bahubeshi, she/her

    Principal Strategist

    Rudayna has over ten years of experience, including in leadership roles, in nonprofits, foundations, grassroots organizations, and government with a focus on advancing equity and justice.

    Most recently, she led a team in Ontario Health’s Provincial Equity Office, leading a number of strategic initiatives, including supporting the province’s first Black Health Plan, an emerging 2SLGBTQIA+ health strategy, and the organization’s Annual Equity Plan. She has worked in organizations focused on environmental sustainability, civic engagement, gender justice, housing, food security, health equity and other areas employing expertise in managing programs, writing and communications, partnerships, and strategic planning. Recently, she completed a Masters of Public Policy at McGill University, focusing her research on policy solutions to address anti-Black racism in Canada’s rental market.

    Rudayna has been published in places including the CBC, TVO, Policy Magazine, The Philanthropist and more. She was previously named a Top 30 Under 30 Leader in Canada and held fellowships at CivicAction and TMU’s Leadership Lab. She is a board member at Black Artists’ Network in Dialogue (BAND), an art gallery in Parkdale dedicated to Black artists, and volunteers as an advisor to multiple other non profits.

  • Paul Taylor

    Strategic Advisor & Co-Founder

    Paul is a long-time activist, non-profit leader, educator, media commentator, and a co-founder of Evenings & Weekends Consulting.

    For the last several years, he has also taught in the areas of organizational leadership, people resources and fundraising at Simon Fraser University.

    From 2017 to 2023, Paul served as the Executive Director of FoodShare Toronto, Canada’s largest food justice organization. At FoodShare his leadership was consistently recognized for inspiring adoption of equity-focused people policies and practices in organizations well beyond FoodShare.

    Paul’s experience includes Executive Director roles at Gordon Neighbourhood House and the Downtown Eastside Neighbourhood House. He has also chaired the British Columbia Poverty Reduction Coalition, served on the Board of Directors of the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives and as Vice-Chair of Food Secure Canada.

    He has written several op-eds on leadership, the non-profit sector and various social issues. In 2020, Paul was named one of Canada’s Top 40 under 40, one of Toronto Life’s 50 Most Influential Torontonians and voted as Best Activist by Now Magazine readers.

  • Daniel Sarah Karasik, they/them

    Lead Strategist

    Daniel Sarah Karasik is the founding managing editor of Midnight Sun, a magazine that seeks to be a forum for strategic thinking about how to build sustainable social change movements, networks, and organizations. They have served as a coordinator of the Toronto-based activist network Artists for Climate & Migrant Justice and Indigenous Sovereignty (ACMJIS), of which they're also a co-founder, and have collaborated on political initiatives that range from organizing large street mobilizations against transphobia to building coalitions to demand a more equitable public health response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

    The author of seven published books, most recently the novel Disobedience (Book*hug Press), they have been recognized with the Toronto Arts Foundation’s Emerging Artist Award, the CBC Fiction Prize, and the Canadian Jewish Playwriting Award, and served on the board of directors of the Playwrights Guild of Canada and the Paprika Festival, a youth-led performing arts organization.

    They're keenly interested in the intersections of art and activism, poetry and political change work, and excited to dream towards social transformation with you.

  • Kiko Kung, they/them

    Strategist

    Kiko is a Chinese-Malaysian settler based in Tkaronto, with roots in Surrey, BC, on the stolen, ancestral lands of the Semiahma (Semiahmoo) people.

    Their lived experience as a disabled, queer, racialized person has driven their passions in anti-oppression and decolonization, empowerment, queer joy, and mutual aid — values they strive to incorporate in all their work.

    Approaching all their work with curiosity has led them to develop skills in community and youth engagement, collaborative project development, grant-writing and fundraising, database management, and information science. Kiko’s past experience includes facilitating the development of the South Surrey/White Rock Youth Space project: a youth-led community centre improving the health outcomes of diverse and marginalized youth.

    As well, they were pivotal in creating the first safe and dedicated space for 2SLGBTQ+ youth in their community. Kiko was also previously a member of Alex Neighbourhood House’s community board; as well as the Association of Neighbourhood Houses BC’s Strategic Transformation team, collaborating to create inclusive practices and systems within their organizational structure.

    They believe that incorporating sustainable foundations and policies are key to enhancing the already amazing work of social impact groups and organizations, and finds joy working alongside organizations to build capacity and implement innovative solutions that meet the diverse needs of all team members.
